Warranty Conditions of BSH Household Appliances Manufacturing Private Limited, India

The conditions below that describe the requirements and scope of our warranty performance do not affect the warranty obligations of the seller arising from the purchase agreement with the end customer.

For this appliance, we grant a warranty subject to the following conditions for appliances of the brand GAGGENAU that are purchased on or after 01.03.2025:

This warranty is given by BSH Household Appliances Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd., Arena House, 2nd Floor Main Building, Plot No.103, Road No.12, MIDC, Andheri East, Mumbai 400093. This warranty is valid in the country of purchase only.

This appliance is warranted by BSH to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five years from the date of purchase.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure* and for compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. In the event of a minor failure, BSH reserves the right to choose to repair or replace the appliance.

To make a warranty claim, you must be able to supply proof of purchase. In the first instance, you should call Customer Care India on 1800 266 1683. BSH will create and retain a computer record of your application.

BSH will bear any expenses incurred for warranty claims, excluding the cost of transport of the appliance for service or the service agent’s travelling costs to and from your home if you live outside the service area of BSH or one of its service agents.

The warranty covers only manufacturing defect in material and workmanship that may arise despite normal operation and usage of the appliance, as prescribed in the operating manual.

Warranty is not applicable in any of the following cases:

1. If the warranty card is not duly filled and does not bear the stamp, date and signature of an Authorized Service Personnel.

2. The warranty does not cover any consequential or resulting liability, damage or loss to property or life arising directly or indirectly as a result of appliance failure, breakdown, or accident or usage of the appliance not in accordance with the operating manual.

3. If the appliance has been subjected to improper use such as operated on a trolley other than the one, if any provided by the Company, misused, not cared for, abnormal use, exposure to dampness, excessive heat, excessive humidity and other extreme environmental conditions, corrosion, damage beyond repair, rusting, unauthorized modifications, unauthorized repairs, neglect, accident, alteration, acts of God, spillage of liquid or food particles, faulty electric wiring/ cabling, abnormal voltage/ power supply beyond appliance specifications, damage/ breakage/ non-functioning of appliance due to rodents, rats, cockroaches and ants etc.

4. The warranty does not cover consumables, normal wear & tear parts, plastic, glass and or rubber parts, non- operational parts and related accessories.

5. The warranty does not include preventive checks, routine maintenance, cleaning, de-scaling and overhaul.

6. If the appliance is used by a commercial establishment or by an individual for commercial purpose.

7. If the serial number of the appliance is removed, altered, made illegible/ tampered with.

8. If incorrect/not suitable detergents are used for laundry appliances and dishwashers.

9. If repair work is carried out by persons other than Authorized Service Personnel.

10. Damage to the appliance or any part(s) due to transportation or shifting or arising out of improper storage of the appliance at the customer's premises.

11. These warranty conditions apply to appliances purchased in India. If appliances are shipped abroad, the warranty shall become void.

Important: Please present this warranty card to our staff at the time of service.


The following conditions will compromise and, in some cases cancel your warranty:

1. The warranty is confined only to the first purchase of the appliance and is non-transferable.

This warranty card shall be presented to our staff at the time of service and the warranty shall be void if the warranty card is altered / tampered with or lost.

2. The warranty period (both Standard Warranty Period and Extended Warranty Period) starts from the date of purchase of the appliance.

3. The warranty covers only manufacturing defect in material and workmanship that may arise despite normal operation and usage of the appliance, as prescribed in the operating manual.

4. Only detergents (powder or liquid), cleaning agents, and maintenance products suitable for use in Gaggenau appliances shall be used. Please contact Customer Service for advice.

5. Repairs, installations and removal of the appliance shall be carried out only by an Authorized Service Personnel, failing which this warranty will be void.

6. In the event of change of address, the new address shall be intimated to the Authorized Service Center on the given toll-free number.

7. Repairs and replacements of parts shall be purely at the discretion of the Authorized Service Personnel. The company's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair and providing replacement of defective parts. It is hereby clarified that after the Standard Warranty Period, visit charges will apply for all service visits and shall be borne by the customer. During the Extended Warranty Period, if the appliance needs to be transported to the Authorized Service Centre for repairs, the transportation charges to and from the place of installation shall be borne by the customer.

8. The customer shall provide a reasonable, sufficient and safe working space to access the appliances for service. The customer is liable to move away all blocking objects or move the appliance to an appropriate location with electricity/ gas/ water supply and drainage for testing of the appliance.

9. In case repair cannot be completed onsite, the company reserves the right to carry the appliance to its Authorized Service Center and return it after repair.

10. In case of appliances installed beyond municipal limits of the jurisdiction of company's Authorized Service Center, all transport expenses for the appliance or its parts to and from Authorized Service Center, as well as expenses for service personnel/technician including conveyance and other incidental costs, shall be borne by the customer.

11. In case of repairs the appliance and/or the replaced spare part will be warranted only for the remaining of the original warranty period and the replaced components will become property of the company.

12. The company shall be under no obligation or deemed to be in default for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control (e.g. strikes, floods, earthquakes, pandemic etc.) including but not limited to delay in servicing due to nonavailability of spare parts and/or accessories.

13. In case of a repair, the company owns the right to repair or replace the spare part, which are tested thoroughly to ensure the appliance is operational.

14. Authorized Personnel appointed and trained by the company will provide installation, demonstration and repair services to the customer.

15. The warranty for all Built-In appliances will be applicable from date of installation, provided installation happens within 6 months from date of purchase. However, if the installation happens after 6 months from the date of purchase, then the warranty will begin 6 months after the date of purchase.

16. Our service team and authorized service partners will remain available to assist you even after the warranty expires.

In case of repairs the appliance and/or the replaced spare part will be warranted only for the remaining of the original warranty period.

The warranty period for spare parts installed ends with the warranty period for the entire appliance.

The warranty does not cover any consequential or resulting liability, damage or loss to property or life arising directly or indirectly as a result of appliance failure, breakdown, or accident or usage of the Appliance not in accordance with the operating manual.

These warranty conditions apply to appliances purchased in India. If appliances are shipped abroad, the warranty becomes void.
