Privacy Notice Pursuant to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
1. Introduction
1.1. This Privacy Notice sets out BSH Household Appliances Manufacturing Private Limited’s (referred to as “BSH”, “we” “our” or “us”) responsibilities in relation to the collection, use, process and disclosure of your personal data.
1.2. This Privacy notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website / mobile application, services as well as your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 of India including rules and regulations framed thereunder (“Applicable Law”).
1.3. We respect and understand the importance of your privacy and are therefore committed to protect your personal information.
2. What is Personal Data?
2.1. Personal data refers to all that data about an individual, whether true or not, who can be identified or is possible to identify from that data;
3. Personal Data that we collect
3.1. We collect personal data from you when you provide your consent to us or in absence of consent where you have voluntarily provided your personal data to us. The personal data which BSH may collect about you may include following:
3.1.1. your name, “MyBosch” membership information user id, password, subscription of any products packages, contact billing and/or delivery details such as address, email address and phone number;
3.1.2. your payment information e.g. UPI, credit or debit card and/or banking details including cancelled cheque, the name of the cardholder, card number, billing and delivery address and expiry date for any refunds or delivery that we may process;
3.1.3. details of the product or service you have purchased, including warranty details;
3.1.4. information which you voluntarily provide to us for all surveys, service satisfaction, promotions, lucky draws/contests/competitions;
3.1.5. records of our communications with you, including any complaints, requests, claims, service and repair, after-sales services and/or or queries;
3.1.6. your photos, signatures, images including images of products, videos, CCTV footages and/or personal audio recordings;
3.1.7. your visits to and your activities such as our marketing events at our brand experience center(s), authorized dealers/distributors retail outlet(s) and/or our places;
3.1.8. information in any consumer or product(s) review or comment you publicly post on or privately send via our website(s), social media account(s), third party website(s) or through mobile application; and
3.1.9. your visits to and activities on our authorized dealers/distributors/retailers/representatives website(s) or retail outlet(s) (including through their online platforms/marketplaces) in connection with our products and services.
4. Why we collect your personal data
4.1. With your prior consent unless you have provided the data voluntarily, we will collect and use your personal data for the purpose of carrying out our business including but not limited to the following:
4.1.1. fulfilling orders, informing you about our products services, responding to your queries and grievances
4.1.2. to enable you to access and/or use any service we provide, our call center numbers, website(s) and/or mobile application;
4.1.3. to secure and verify your identify when you access and/or use any service we provide, our website(s) and/or mobile application;
4.1.4. to enhance and update our records in connection with any products purchased or services you have requested from us;
4.1.5. to process your personal data for purposes such as accounting, billing and auditing;
4.1.6. to develop and improve our products and services where you provide your feedback
4.1.7. for customer services and administration including registering and managing warranties, responding to complaints, enquiries, comments and requests, performing after-sales services, assessing and responding to consumer or product reviews, delivery and installation of products by our third party service providers or independent contractors, providing maintenance tips for products, individualized services and/or anything in relation to the products, services and/or customer related matters;
4.1.8. technical administration of our website(s) or mobile application as applicable; and
4.1.9. complying with laws and our legal obligations.
5. Protecting Your Personal Data
5.1. We are committed to protecting your information by handling it responsibly and safeguarding it by using appropriate technical, administrative and physical security measures.
6. Your Rights as a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (22 of 2023)
6.1. The applicable law confers upon you specific rights viz.
6.1.1. Right to access your personal information
6.1.2. Right to correct and erase your personal data.
6.1.3. Right of grievance redressal
6.1.4. Right to nominate any representative in case of death or incapacity of the data principal.
7. Grievance Resolution
We maintain a robust grievance redressal framework focused on protecting your rights. If you have any grievance in respect of processing of your personal information, please reach out to us on IND_V_DPO@bshg.com. We endeavor to resolve your concerns within 90 days of receipt of the complaint.
8. Nomination
You have the right to designate a nominee who shall exercise these rights on your behalf, to ensure continuity of data protection in the event of incapacity or death in accordance with provisions of the applicable law. 9. Withdrawal of your consent
10.1. If you wish to withdraw your consent to allow us to use your personal data in the future, you may please write to us by contacting our Data Protection OƯicer via email to IND_V_DPO@bshg.com.
Link for deletion of your account is mentioned in the withdrawal policy on the login page. After deletion of your account, all the personal data will be archived and will not be processed by us. If you wish to permanently delete your archived personal data, please send an email to IND_V_DPO@bshg.com.
10.2. If you withdraw your consent, please note that we may not be able to continue to provide some of our services or even maintain further communication. The processing of your personal data could be essential for some of the purposes for which it was collected.
10. Duration of storage
11.1. Your personal data will be deleted immediately upon the completion of the specific purpose for which it was collected. However, we will retain your data for the duration required by applicable laws and regulations. In compliance with our legal obligations, we will store your data until the end of the designated organizational retention periods or as per statutory requirements. Additionally, your data will be retained until the expiry of applicable statutory limitation periods necessary to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims.
11.2. Once these periods have elapsed and the data is no longer necessary for the intended purposes, we will systematically delete the relevant data.
11. Make a complaint to the Data Protection Board
12.1. You have the right to seek redressal of any grievance by contacting the Data Protection OƯicer, the details of which are provided in this Notice. If you are not satisfied by the resolution, you may make a complaint to the Data Protection Board of India in such manner and form as may be prescribed under applicable law.

14.1. Please note that only individuals who are 18 years of age or older, and who have the capacity to access our platform, are permitted to share personal data with us. We do not knowingly or intentionally collect or maintain personal information from anyone below the age of 18 or any person who is incapacitated under the law.

15.1. This privacy notice is subject to modification in the event of changes to our privacy practices or upon notification from governmental authorities. In the event of any amendments, we shall publish the revised privacy notice on this website / application.
